Cultural Transmission Models based upon Robert Axelrod's (1997) model of homophily and culture
robertour
CulSim is an agent-based computer simulation software that allows for further exploration of influential and recent models of emergence of cultural groups based on Axelrod (1997) by including parameters grounded in sociological theories. CulSim provides a collection of tools to analyze resilience of cultural diversity when single drastic events affects agents, institutions or global parameters of the simulation. Upon combination, these can be used to approximate historical circumstances. The software provides a graphical and text-based user interface, and so makes this agent modelling methodology accessible to a variety of users without programming experience from for example cultural studies or humanities

Tools to use an evolutionary algorithm to evolve strategies for an iterated prisoner's dilemma tournament
Axelrod-Python
Python wrapper library around TourExec Fortran for Axelrod's second tournament.

Bobby Axelrod meets on-chain intelligence. An autonomous trading agent with metacognition — scans OKX whale flows, cross-references Polymarket smart money, debates itself, and only trades when the math says yes. Built for OKX X Layer AI Hackathon 2026.

Robert Axelrod's model of social polarisation
MarcoLugo
Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma (IPD) tournament engine inspired by Robert Axelrod's seminal work, The Evolution of Cooperation.

Recreation of the prisoner's dilemma model from Axelrod's "Evolution of Cooperation" in Python
🎮 A web simulator for the Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma, inspired by Robert Axelrod🧠
Mac13kW
This is a recreation of Robert Axelrod's tournament which pit many strategies against each other to find out which performed the best in a repeated Prisoner's Dilemma game.
DaJay42
A simple (WIP, but already usable) Java program that lets you simulate game-theory based encounters (such as the Prisoners' Dilemma) of various strategies, in tournament modes similar to Axelrod, 1984. To create your own strategy, extend the class gamesim.GameStrategy.
Roberto1987
A genetic algorithm I did for a System of Agents course, two weeks efforts. It simulate the Axelrod championship between strategies for the iterated prisoner's dilemma in a evolutionist way.
Axelrod-Python
A Django Rest Framework API for the Axelrod-Python library
A repo to generate axelrod tournaments
