The Youtube Ad Skipper is a Python script that uses Selenium to automate the skipping of ads on YouTube videos. It opens a web browser, navigates to YouTube, and continuously checks for ad overlays. If an ad overlay is detected, it clicks the skip button to skip the ad.

This is a fun little script that I had originally written 2 years ago, rediscovered on my computer, and cleaned up a bit to be more modular and logically sound. It essentially launches a chrome webdriver with selenium, navigates to youtube, and then inspects the html for identifying factors of an ad on screen. Once it finds an ad, it waits a few seconds, then clicks the skip button. Stay tuned, because I'm working on a much more complicated and real-life-applicable tool for skipping ads on other services and platforms!
