Over the summer I worked on a project for fun to track and fire an airsoft gun at geese walking on the lawn. The airsoft turret used 2 motors, a camera and LIDAR, a raspberry pi 4 (with motor hat and thermal case), Googl Coral TPU, and wooden/3D printed supports. Due to the motors being weak the final version was not able to move the airsoft gun since it was too heavy.

A laser that tracks a moving person using a camera and an FPGA. The laser turret can track a running person at a 30Hz refresh rate with 5cm accuracy at a distance of 4m.

pan_tilt_control is the ROS 2 aiming subsystem for a multi‑sensor UAV tracking architecture. It accepts a 3D target point (x, y, z) and computes Pan (azimuth) and Tilt (elevation) angles while compensating for the turret’s physical offsets.

This is an automatic turret I made to learn many things including camera to motor control and more CAD. This detects threats related to task and warns, if not complied to some requirements, it will track and shoot plastic BBs at the target.

I disassembled an 35 old USSR wired controlled (moon walker) toy and made possible for it to be controlled from phone through Wi-fi module. The top of the toy is removed so it basically looks like a tank (because it has tracks) but without a turret.

In this project I designed and constructed a pan and tilt tracking and shooting robot. I started this project summer 2023 and created the tracking turrent V1. In summer 2024 I revisited this project, buiding a new design from the ground up, creating tracking turret V2.
