This is our final presentation video showcasing our Pilot City Alan AI Project. We created a prototype using Flutter, Google Sheets, and Visual Studio Code. This application illustrates the usage of Alan AI to help users navigate through a store. It also includes the function for business owners to set up/manipulate their inventory through voice. Our project's goal was to demonstrate how Alan AI, a conversational voice platform, can use CRUD operations to manipulate a database. We aren't too experienced in coding and found learning the programming language Dart, for Flutter, to be incredibly difficult. Our unfamiliarity with APIs and SDKs added on to this adversity. This project was completed in the course of 2 days with about 25-26 hours spent within a team of 4. We unfortunately spent more than half of this time failing to emulate an Android Device using Android Studio and attempting to solve technical issues.
