This Power BI dashboard provides an in depth analysis of marketing campaigns, customer demographics, purchasing behavior, and also channel performance for an e-commerce marketing dataset. The goal is to help stakeholders understand which marketing strategies work, who their customers are, and how purchases vary across different channels.
In any Retail and E-Commerce industry one of the key elements in shaping the business strategy of a firm would be the understanding of customer behaviour. More specifically, understanding their customers based on different business metrics: how much they spend (revenue), how often they spend (frequency), are they new or existing customer, what are their favourite products, etc. Such understanding would in turn help direct marketing, sales, account management and product teams to support better the customer and improve the product offering in turn improving the business. RFM model proves to be one such way of understanding the customers. RFM analysis is a data-driven customer behaviour segmentation technique where RFM stands for Recency, Frequency, and Monetary value. The idea is to segment customers based on their last purchase (Recency), how often they’ve purchased in the past (Frequency), and how much they have spent (Monetary). All three of these measures have proven to be effective predictors of a customer’s which is also been used to perform better campaign’s which in turn helps to increase the business ROI.

Objective is to study the online retail dataset from different perspectives by utilizing data mining techniques for customer centric business. Our aim is to understand the customer behaviour, product associations, web traffic, inventory management and returned products. My analysis can help any new or old e-commerce company such as Amazon, Wish Shopping Sites etc. to design their new marketing campaign, strategies to retain their customers and ways to attract new users or one-time visitors. The recommendations I have come up with are exclusive and unique and could be helpful for the e-commerce sector.
In this project, we will be using a custom-built and extremely rich e-commerce database to help steer the decisions of a business by analysing traffic sources, marketing channels, measuring website performance, analysing business patterns/seasonality and exploring the product portfolio.
