The project describes the smart irrigation system using the concept of IoT. The project uses a Wi-Fi module (ESP8266-12E) which connects the system to internet. This module controls a motor for supplying water to the field on the information obtained from a water level indicator and a soil moisture sensor. This whole system is monitored and controlled by MQTT server (My MQTT android App) through internet. A temperature sensor is also used to remotely monitor the temperature of the field. The project also depicts the concept of Internet of Things (IoT). A GSM module 900A is also used as an alternative to provide information about the water-level and temperature to the farmer via short messaging system(SMS). The project also deals with monitoring the plant health using Image Processing. The images of the leaves will be captured and processed in python language using convolutional neural networks. Keras API with tensorflow backend is used for training and implementing the model .The health will be monitored on the basis and the farmer will be kept updated on the same My MQTT App.
