A web app made for McHacks 7 designed to be an emotionally responsive talking companion for marginalized children. It uses the IBM Watson API to conduct content and emotional analysis on speech data in order to generate an appropirate response. samy can understand and relate to children, as well as offer them relevent ressources such as bullying prevention services. The app is composed of a CSS/HTML/JavaScript front end with a Python backend.
